Over the last year, SAL deputies have been working hard to finish up the "Humvee Project". The National Guard graciously provided/donated the hummer to the SAL team for use at community events. Several things needed to be repaired or updated on the Hummer, including a new top, tires, rims, and body work. Also, the Hummer needed to get painted and wrapped. In addition to painting the outside, the inside was sprayed with a tough coat bed liner and the seats were reupholstered with a black leather. The SAL team hopes to outfit the Hummer with a sound system as well as a TV for providing education videos for the youth. The Hummer has been a great way to engage the kids and draw their attention to law enforcement. A special thank you to the following companies who helped keep the costs low: Maaco, Vehicle Wraps, and Les Schwab.
